All of our furniture is constructed in the "old world" manner. Most furniture companies that were once considered "high end" now utilize frames constructed of plywood that have been stapled and nailed together; which makes for a vastly inferior product. Each of our pieces are constructed of 5 quarter kiln dried hardwood frames with double doweled and glued joint construction. No staples or nails are utilized in this step of the process. The springs are meticulously 8 way hand tied. The seat cushions are constructed with a dacron wrapped foam core with an outer down filled sack. In addition, the back cushions and any decorative pillows are all down filled.
